Music can be a powerful influence on the imaginations and identities of young people. Thanks to generous contributions by KSCO radio and other donors, the recording studio at the new Live Oak Clubhouse will help members channel their energy and interest in music.
The studio will be outfitted with state-of-the-art digital recording equipment, including a custom built Bulldog Audio Workstation and Universal Audio Apollo. There also will be traditional audio hardware, such as mixers and effects processors. Members will have access to electronic recording devices that will allow them to create music at their own pace. The studio will be a safe and staff-supervised environment.
To fuel the creative juices and interest of youth in Santa Cruz County, KSCO radio has underwritten the recording studio. Championed by KSCO’s Rosemary Chalmers, the station’s financial gift to the Boys & Girls Clubs illustrates the station’s vision for and commitment to the future of music, recording and radio.
