In August 2025, we celebrated the opening of our “California Street Clubhouse,” located directly adjacent to the United Methodist Church at 250 California Street in Santa Cruz.
This sweet new Club site features a range of amenities to engage our kids. With the mentorship of our Creative Arts Director, the music room serves as the perfect backdrop for musical theater, where our Club kids are deep into rehearsing for their next production, “Really Rosie.” And under the guidance of Teen Director, the Teen Center is proving to be both a comfy lounge and a great place for local middle school students to stay on track with their homework.
In Fall 2025, we will be launching a makerspace that features 3D printing, a laser engraver, screenprinting, and of course, LEGOs – ensuring that youth of all ages have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning focused on design and engineering.
However the most popular feature of the new site is the incredible outdoor space afforded by the California Street campus. With two play structures, a basketball court and large grass field, our Club kids are loving the opportunity to work off their afterschool energy by playing outdoors.
