Volunteer at our Clubs!

Working with youth today means a brighter future for everyone.

When you volunteer at our Clubs, you can make a difference in the lives of youth and give back to your community. Within the first few minutes of walking into a Club, you know you’re in a special place. Filled with the sounds and energy of spirited children and friendly, caring professionals, the Club is a fun and hopeful environment. Whether you help with homework, coach a game, or teach an art project, you’ll have the opportunity to build healthy relationships with young people eager for adult guidance, and have a positive impact on their lives. In turn, you will find that spending time with these young people has a positive impact on you as well.

Come share your skills at the Club:
We have needs that fit a huge variety of interests, including Academic Tutoring, Sports and Recreation, Arts, Music and Dance, Programming and Robotics, Chess, and Woodworking, as well as needs for help in Administration, Events, and Facilities.

You can volunteer at our Downtown Clubhouse, Live Oak Clubhouse, or Joe & Linda Aliberti Clubhouse (Scotts Valley and San Lorenzo Valley).

All direct work/volunteerism with Club members takes place Monday – Friday during after school hours, or all day (8:00 am-6:00 pm) during the summer.

We can help with recording your Community Service Hours for school, work, or agency requirements.  We also have great opportunities for corporate/group volunteer events:

  • Beautification projects, done-in-a-day, usually weekends, like our Spring Garden Restoration
  • Youth interaction activities.
  • Events help, like at our annual Golf Tournament

Please note that all volunteers who will be working directly with youth are required to be interviewed, fingerprinted, pass a comprehensive criminal background check, provide references, and complete mandatory youth safety trainings (~3-4 hours total) provided by Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
