Andy (he/his) joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County in April of 2022. He brings experience from careers in both academia and nonprofit programs/grants management that directly transfer to the work and goals of BGCSCC. These experiences shape his approach to resource development and fundraising as he looks to both quantify the outcomes of our work and to uplift and center stories from the youth and families we serve. These are an integral and important part of communicating to partners and supporters as to why they should invest in our work. Andy is passionately committed to the Club’s Mission, and to help increase support for kids and families, particularly those from marginalized communities, right here at home in Santa Cruz County.
Andy earned a Doctorate degree in Human Evolutionary Biology from Harvard University, and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Andy is a proud #girldad, and is happy to call Santa Cruz home – due in part to a love for good coffee and cycling.
