Live Oak 10k/5k and Family Fun Run
Registration closes on Wednesday, September 19th at 12:00PM and is limited to 300 runners. Walk-in registrations are accepted at Santa Cruz County Parks Department 979 17th Ave from 9:00am-5:00pm on Friday, September 21st and from 7:30am-8:00am on Shoreline Middle School (parking lot) Saturday, September 22nd.

Co-hosted by Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County and Santa Cruz County Parks & Recreation, the Live Oak 10k/5k & Family Fun Run will highlight the best of Live Oak and is open to walkers and runners of all ages and fitness levels. Funds raised will support Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County and Santa Cruz County Parks athletic programs, activities and facilities.

Schedule of Events
7:30AM Registration/Check-In Begins at Shoreline Middle School Parking Lot
8:30AM 5/10k Race Begins *
*5k runners will run from Shoreline Middle School to Pleasure Point and back ONCE
*10k runners will run from Shoreline Middle School to Pleasure Point and back TWICE
9:30AM Family Fun Run (3k) begins*
*Family Fun Run runners will turn around at 26th Ave (signs will be posted). Family Fun Run participates are not required to run the race, they may also walk. Strollers welcome!
9:00am-11:30AM PANCAKE BREAKFAST at the Live Oak Clubhouse. Family-friendly activities. $5 admission fee for non-runners.
10:30AM Award Ceremony
12:30-4:00pm Free recreation swim entry with race bib to Simpkins Family Swim Center
ARRIVAL
Please arrive at least a half hour before your race start time to check-in and receive your bib.
PARKING will be available at Simpkins Family Swim Center, Shoreline Middle School, Del Mar Elementary (MUST arrive before 8:00am- 17th Avenue will be closed between Felt Street and Portola Drive until the race is complete), Live Oak Elementary, and at East Cliff Shopping Center (Dollar Tree).
Your MUST sign waivers during registration online and bring an ID day of event.
Wear comfortable running clothes and prepare to start cold and get warm throughout the morning. Wear appropiate running shoes, hat, sunscreen, and running attire. There will be water and restrooms on the course.
COURSE INFO
The course begins at Shoreline Middle School, runs down 17th Avenue and then follows East Cliff Drive to Pleasure Point. At Pleasure Point, participates will turn around and run the same way they came back. 5k runners will run to Pleasure Point and back ONCE. 10k runners will run to Pleasure Point and back TWICE. Family Fun Run participates will go to 26th Avenue and then turn back.
